33. Virtue
He who knows men is wise
He who knows himself is enlightened.
He who conquers others is strong;
He who conquers himself is mighty.
He who is content with what you have is rich;
Whoever has will work with determination.
who is able to maintain their position endure long;
who is able to maintain his influence will live after his death.
34. The Tao has no favorites
infinite Tao flows everywhere, creating and destroying, Performing
Worldwide, attending to the smallest detail,
Without asking anything in return.
nourishes all things, without control;
has no intention
So it seems inconsequential.
is the substance of all things,
But does not control any;
makes no exceptions,
It is important for everyone. Because
not conducive to anything finite
is infinite.
35. Peace
The Tao is formless and aroma;
can not be seen or heard,
And your application can not be exhausted.
If you offer music and food
Strangers stop by your side But
if you agree with the Tao
World People will keep
in safety, health, companionship and peace.
36. Influence
To reduce someone's influence, first increase it;
To reduce someone's force, incremental, first;
To make someone fall, first make it to rise;
To take something from someone , give something first.
This is the subtlety with which the weak overcome the strong,
Just as fish should not leave their depths,
And the soldier should not abandon its camouflage.
37. Soothe
heart The Tao does not act, and so leaves nothing to be done. If one understands this
World All things flourish naturally;
Blooming, only restricted by nature.
Nature has no desires
Without desire, the heart becomes calm,
And so the whole world can remain calm.
38. R eligión
The virtuoso acting.
The kind act without self-interest;
The righteous acts not neglecting his own interest;
The religious act to reproduce their own interest.
If the Tao is lost, is virtue;
If virtue is kindness is lost;
If kindness is lost, there is justice;
If justice is lost, there is religion.
well-established hierarchies are not easily uprooted;
strong beliefs can not be changed easily;
why religion remains generation after generation.
Religion is the end of virtue and honesty,
The beginning of confusion;
Faith is a colorful hope or fear,
The origin of stupidity. Sage acts
knowledge, not hope
Trust in the fruit, not the flower;
Accept what is, rejects future promises.
39. Completeness
In mythical times all things were completed:
whole sky was clear,
whole earth was stable,
All the mountains were high,
All the rivers were full,
All Nature was alive,
All the rulers were supported.
But without clarity, it is cloudy;
Without stability, the earth is breaks;
Without force, the mountain is eroded;
Without water, the river runs dry;
Without life, nature withers;
Without support, rulers fall.
Thus, people depend on their leaders, The noble depends
humble
And the rulers show themselves orphans, lonely or unable,
To win popular support.
Completeness not win support.
Thus, there is weakness in power, and power
weakness;
Before tinkle like jade,
One should rumble like rocks.
40.
Application of Tao Tao The motion is to return;
Use of Tao is to accept;
All things arise from Tao,
The Tao is not derived from any.
41. Taoism
When a strong learn the Tao, he practices diligently learn the advanced
When the Tao, he practices at times;
When the weak learn the Tao, rejoices and laughs;
Those who laugh have not learned anything.
So it is said: Whoever understands the Tao
seems incoherent
who progresses in the Tao, seems to fail
who follows the Tao, seem to wander. Thus
appears stronger vulnerability
The truth appears brighter hues;
The fuller character appears to be incomplete;
appears stronger heart weakness
Nature seems more beautiful inconstancy.
So the square, perfected, has no corners;
Art, perfected, has no meaning;
Sex, perfected, has no climax;
shape, perfected, has no form.
So Tao can not be felt nor known: It transmits sensation and transcends
knowledge.
42.
Tao Harmony leads to virtue
Virtue leads to containment;
containment leads to acceptance;
Acceptance leads to the World;
All things begin and end with virtue with restraint ,
But is acceptance that leads to harmony.
As others taught, I taught:
"Those without harmony end with violence";
This is my teaching.
43. Overcoming the Impossible
The soft overcomes the hard;
What formless penetrates the impenetrable;
There is value in not acting.
Teaching without words, without action Working

is something few can understand.
44.
contained Fame or Self: Which is more dear? Ego
or wealth: Which is more valuable?
Profit or loss: Which is more painful?
A great virtue is exposed to heavy wear,
A wealth is exposed to a great robbery,
But a great restraint not exposed to any loss.
thus: He who knows when to stop
not continue into danger,
and can withstand long.
45. Calma
The great perfection resembles imperfect
But does not decay;
The abundance seems empty,
But not finished.
Great truth seems contradictory;
Great intelligence seems stupid;
Great eloquence seems incomprehensible.
Although it appears that the action due to the containment,

Thus, remaining calm is who has control.
46. I
When the world is not in accord with Tao,
horses to carry soldiers across the fields;
When the world is in agreement with the Tao,
horses pull plows through fields .
There is no greater curse than desire;
There is no greater misery than discontent;
There is no greater disease than greed;
But that conforms to what has
always be rich.
47. Knowledge and Experience
Without a single step beyond the door can
know the world.
Without a glance at the window
can see the color of the sky.
The more experience, the less you know.
The sage wanders without knowing, without seeing
Look, Reach
without acting.
48. Knowledge
who pursues knowledge acquired as much as you can every day;
He who pursues Tao loses as much as you can every day.
reaches a state of inaction
Such that, doing nothing, nothing is left undone.
